Specialized hospital for heart diseases Hertz was founded at Belgrade’s Trade court in 2003 as Health Institution. The main office is at Kralja Milutina street No 36 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Specialized hospital for heart diseases Hertz is providing medical service in the field of cardiology on ambulatory and hospital basis. Ambulatory part of the clinic is working on labor days between 8o/c until 17o/c, and provides specialized examinations (heart check ups), therapies with soluble infusions, urgent medical therapy as well as consultation about diet, physical activities and professional sports. Noteworthy, all medical equipment is the latest Schiller’s diagnostics and Philips ultrasound. Clinic Hertz has 10 beds for the intensive and half intensive care.
Director General of Hertz is Dr Ivana I Vranic, MPh, specialist in internal diseases and sub specialist in cardiology. Her scientific work became famous by investigating the phenomenon of sudden cardiac death, among domestic and foreign professional elite. The latest publication, in this regard, was invited chapter (among 10 best scientific achievements in arrhythmia research) published in the book of Ed Ira R. Tarkowicz: Progress in cardiac arrhythmia research. ISBN: 1-60021-796-6; “Sudden cardiac death syndrome- arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy as most frequent cause of fatal arrythmias“, Nova Science Publishers Inc. 2008, p 207-234. Her results would significantly impact the working group for ARVD and making new guidelines for discovering the early phase of those patients with the risk of dieing suddenly. She is also one of the coauthors of cardiology book dedicated for postdoctorate studies of cardiology: Ed Zivojin Stamenkovic: Cardiomyopathies and heart disfunction. Her paper published in Asian Hospital and Healthcare management: „Early detection of sudden cardiac death predisposition among otherwise healthy individuals now achievable by Sophie methodology and vector analysis”. 2008. No 16: 27-30 was written based on results accomplished in Clinic Hertz and her Sophie methodology was registered by WIPO. This is just a small part of Dr Vranic’s published scientific work during almost 20 years of clinical practise. This is the reason why Medical College of Belgrade have elected her to become Ass Prof since 2005.
The team of experts includes: three full time doctors, 12 nurses and 10 part time consultation doctors. The total number of employees is 22. Nutrition is organized by catering service and is planned on individual basis as hearty, diabetic or nephritic diet concerning the total number of calories needed.
Collaboration with Dr Uros Babic, PhD cardiologist is concerned with invasive diagnostics and dilatation and/or stenting procedures. He has been dealing with heart problems and is known for his patents in this field of medicine.
Clinic Hertz have transportation organized with reanimobiles for all our patients.
